It is called Airbeton, a synthetic name for Autoclaved Cellular Concrete the material for the future of the construction industry.
Starting next May, the Mabo Group will also set up it's first Italian plant for the production of this revolutionary material, using Porit's technology, the German company is, without question, one of the leaders in the European market.
In these past years, thanks to important research conducted in the field of energy conservation, the Mabo Group have developed technical knowledge on this new material and has tested its various features such as: light weight, resistance, thermal insulation and convenient price, in the various shapes it comes in, from the standard brick to slabs of various sizes.
The Mabo Group have acquired the know how and exclusive right for the production and sale of this material in Italy since 2006.
A consortium of German producers, one of the most important worldwide, own the Porit brand name. In 2007 Mabo made an agreement with a very important partner: Unieco - a group with a consolidated turnover of over 450 million Euros and employing a workforce of over 1000 - to set up a company and the first plant for the production of Airbeton, the company's name is AIRBETON, after the name of this innovative material that it will produce for the construction industry. The joint stock is divided equally between the two partners. The production plant has been set up near the Mabo plant, on a total area of over 50.000 m2 owned by them, with an initial investment of 5 million Euros and covering a total of 8.000 m2. The plant will begin production in May with 25 new employees. There are already plans for the opening of another plant that will be set up in Reggio Emilia, and in the meantime contacts have begun for the setting up of a manufacturing centre in Eastern Europe.
Thanks to its characteristics of lightweight, resistance and thermal insulation, it is the ideal material for the present and future of the construction industry; Airbeton will soon achieve a very fast success in the Italian market. The aim of the new company, Mabo-Unieco, is in fact to reach proceeds of over 10 million Euros over a three-year period.
